With a career in the industry spanning over 15 years, Karibi Fubara has found success modeling, acting, producing, managing, and launching various campaigns, projects, artists, and brands, first in New York City and then Lagos. Before moving to New York City, Karibi studied Chemical Engineering at The Ohio State University where he also found his way onto the stage notably as the lead in the Othello sequel Fortune of the Moor. An alum of the Terry Schreiber Acting Conservatory, Karibi landed his first big breaks as a model in several international ad campaigns for Apple, Verizon, Hewlett Packer, Nestle, and Walt Disney, and next as an actor in a recurring role on the ABC daytime soap One Life to Live. In conjunction with his acting career, he co-founded and managed Datoala Michael, LLC, an artist management and production company that produced music and film content for over six years, working with award winners like Idris Elba, John Legend, Stuart Matthewman (of SADE), India.Arie, and now Jidenna. His foray into the Nigeria film industry credits films like Crazy Like A Fox and American Dream starring alongside Jim Iyke, and the following TV series Gidi Up (Season 1), Before 30 and HUSH. Upcoming projects include The Royal Hibiscus Hotel and the films Banana Island Ghost (B.I.G), Ratnik, and the Netflix production We Speak Dance, which he co-executive produced, co-produced, and co-directed.
